The book is printed in black offset on white paper. It measures 17.9 x 14 x 0.5 cm (closed). It has 26 photographs on 48 pages(5).Twentysix Gasoline Stations does exactly what the title suggests, displays photographs of twenty six gas Stations with caption labeling the brand and location at which they are at. These stations were all taken on Route 66. The book travels from west to east, starting in Los Angeles, where he moved to, and ending in Oklahoma, his hometown . Most of the photographs are on a single page with the caption on the accompanying page, whereas others, go across the double spread. A few images, such as “Hudson, Amarillo, Texas” appear to have been taken in a moving car, given the photos blurry, almost aesthetic finish.
