summary
Most of the information I gathered was from the HSU Special collections. I was helped by a few and they became my main sources. This book has little to no info about it and it is hard to beat around it. There aren’t any books like this one which makes it unique in many ways. The way it is folded like an accordion and all on one piece rather than multiple sheets tacked to each other. The cover completely comes off because it is there to hold it tight and stacked. So essentially it has two covers. The paper has actual wood specimen samples in it and maintains well conditions more or less. The wood stained the translucent paper in between but nothing else. The wood did no damage to the book which is amazing. There are multiple elements to the book besides the wood specimens. Harumichi gathered microscopic photos of some trees giving a deep dive into the wood specimens world. Also gave tiny pictures of leaf silhouettes.
