BIOGRAPHY

Todd Hido was born in Kent, Ohio in 1968, but now resides in California's Bay Area. He is a contemporary photographer mostly known for urban landscapes.

He received his BFA at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. He also studied at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island and received his MFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. 

Hido has participated in several solo and group exhibitions over the years and has published over 15 photography books. 

His work has won many awards such as the Eureka Fellowship from the Fleishhacker Foundation in 2001 and the Best First Monograph of 2001 from Photo-Eye in 2002.
